Global Analysis

Home » 3 MURI Project » Global Analysis

The current panorama of masonry constructions requires maximum expertise in the design and calculation phases of structures in seismic areas.
To assist and support the designer in this task, S.T.A. DATA offers 3Muri Project, developed specifically for masonry structures.
3Muri Project is not a generic software for masonry structures; it was born from specific research for these structures and captures all their characteristics to obtain a safe and reliable calculation.
Adaptable to both new and historic single or aggregate buildings of any size, 3Muri Project performs the function of making them solid and safe even in the case of seismic events.

The innovative FME (Frame by Macro Elements) calculation method

3Muri Project stands out for its exclusive calculation method, the FME (Frame by Macro Elements), which represents a significant evolution in the field of seismic design of ma-sonry structures. This innovative approach allows the structure to be modeled through macro elements that faithfully reproduce the mechanical behavior of the walls, allowing rapid and detailed analysis.

The FEA method (Finite Element Analysis)

Alongside the FME method, 3Muri Project also integrates the FEA (Finite Element Analysis) model, which allows a detailed and precise analysis of masonry structures. FEA is a well-established method that divides the structure into a mesh of small finite elements, each of which is analyzed to determine local stresses and strains.
