The Local Mechanisms Module (ML) is the ideal solution for verifying kinematics in existing masonry buildings. Thanks to a flexible and intuitive modelling environment, it allows you to clearly define the geometry of kinematic blocks, applied loads and the presence of chains, easily managing even complex configurations.

Quickly define kinematic blocks with precise drawing tools and snap to nodes and lines. Create the kinematic block with a single click directly on the wall elevation. - Intuitive definition of forces and chains
Set point and distributed loads, linear or non-linear chains with the help of a guided wizard. - Reinforcement integration
Evaluate the effectiveness of non-linear steel reinforcement chains by directly integrating their contribution into the analysis.
Immediate results and linear and non-linear checks
The module performs linear kinematic analysis based on the limit equilibrium approach and the Principle of Virtual Work, calculating the load multiplier (λ) that determines the activation of the collapse mechanism.
You can also perform non-linear kinematic analyses. Safety checks at limit states (SLV, SLD, SLC) are automatic: the seismic acceleration of activation is compared with the minimum required acceleration, providing a clear and immediate assessment of structural safety.
An advanced 3D view, complete with capacity curves, transparencies and deformation animation, allows you to visualise the actual kinematic behaviour of the model with extreme clarity, ensuring readable and immediately interpretable results.
